February 6, 2004 - Well, it took a while. The wounds inflicted by a balmy month of trade, release, and waiver were hardly quick to heal; the passionate, devoted members of the DYFC saw their Redleg loyalty tested as never before. Where once whispers of greatness harkened, now rickety pledges of future-possible-goodness-maybe festoon the still-fresh pillars of Great American Ball Park. It was, in a word, hard. But fear not! Spring training beckons around the wintry corner, and we here at the Club are back, baseball-loving, and stronger than ever in our adhesion to all matters Dmitri. Stay tuned and we promise it won't be long! |

February 6, 2004 - Given that our boys' much-maligned, grudgingly-admired skipper was rather rudely shipped off to the folds of MLB unemployment last July, we're forced to move on and affix yet another new section to the polygon where once thrived such features as "Archived Page of the Month" and "Inane Bob Boone Quote of the Moment." After much careful consideration, deliberation, and playful fisticuffs, then, we at the DYFC have decided it would be most appropriate to dedicate our powder-blue rectangle to...well, we're not sure yet. Check back soon for classic Club brilliance! |
